Christmas yet again

So here we are Christmas/Laken's birthday. I shed tears because it's been 2 years since I was in the hospital getting the news that our little girl was going to need to be delivered 3 months early to try and save both of us. (Stupid preeclampsia and HELLP). Even though two years have passed I'm still quite bitter and the lack of care that I was given early in my pregnancy with her.

Dear Santa

Well Quinn went and sat on St. Nick's lap for the first time. I am so proud; he only started to get fussy right before I went to get him from Santa.
If Quinn knew the concept of a letter to Santa it would probably go like this...

Dear Santa
For Christmas I was a contraption that has lots of buttons I can push, kinda like the remote mommy and daddy won't let me play with. A book of any kind as long as I can chew on the corners I'll be happy.

Dear Santa
I don't want a lot this year. Just having my son here with me to watch open presents is a present in itself. As long as he's happy I'm happy.

Nine Months

Quinn is Nine Months

Well I know I have been MIA for a couple of months; it's just been so busy around here with family life. So Quinn is now 9 months and boy is there a change going on from 7 months.

* wears 12-18 month clothes
Jeans that are 12 months fit his waist but are just a bit too short.
* still in size 3 huggies
*eats what we eat
*6 teeth (4 upper 2 lower and working on another)
*says momma, mom, dada, da, hi(only to the dogs), yeah and mmmm (when he eats something he likes)
* went on a 14 hour road trip and did very well.
* pulls himself up on things
*Crawls!! But would rather have you hold his hands so he can walk.
* weighs 22 pounds
* 29 inches tall



On a sad note he has developed Thrush in the mouth and must take Nystatin 4 times a day.

As soon as we get back to VA I think I might actually start doing my Vlogs again too.

Seven months... Oh My!

So my little guy isn't so little any more. At 7 months he weighs 19 pounds and about 30 inches. He's come a long way since being 7pounds 10ounces and 20.5 inches.

Mr. QD is still not sleeping through the night but being a breast fed baby that is to be expected. He gets breakfast lunch dinner and 2 snacks along with his 3 bottles at the baby sitter and boob when he is with me. Also he is still working on crawling right now he just rolls around.

This past weekend we went to get pumpkins. And instead of just going and buying an already picked one we went to a pumpkin patch. We had the whole experience of picking our pumpkins off the vine. So while we were there we took advantage and got some pictures. I will post later as I am typing this from my phone and the pictures were taken with a real camera not a smart phone.

Quinn Update

Loving on Torque

So Quinn is now 6 months (as of Sep 7th) at his appointment he measured 28 inches (97th percentile) and weighed 17 pounds 12.8 ounces ( 47th percentile) he's tall and lean. He is currently wearing size 12 month onesies and shirts. Pants are another story in order for them to be long enough they need to be about 9 months but to fit on his waist they need to be 3-6 month. I have found some pants that have a smaller elastic in the waist that helps a little bit. We are still working on sitting up but he would rather be laying and working on trying to crawl. Quinn is very talkative he watches "Your baby can read" at the babysitters house and I talk to him about everything. He said "hi" to the dogs when we came home on Monday. Granted it wasn't a real hi but it sounded like hi and he pointed to the dogs wanting to pet them. And he is getting his bottom teeth one came in and the next day I looked his other one has started to come up too. Well that's all I got right now I'm being summoned by the master of the house (QD).

Im still here

I havent gone anywhere just really busy being back at work full time and having a 6 month old now. I will post more updates later.
