Christmas Happy times and Sad.

Well it's been a year since the day our little Lamb came into this world unexpectedly. It has been a tough year without her here but I know she is watching over us and her little brother that is still growing safely and gratefully still inside me.

The weeks leading up to Christmas and her birthday were rough I managed to get out the Christmas decorations, put them up and decorate her shelf also.  The post before this one has video of her shelf and candle lighting. I knew if I didn't put them up I wouldn't have the strength to do it next year and that would be robbing Quinn of the holiday magic. Plus its her 1st birthday and 2nd Christmas; our tradition now is to buy her an ornament this year was a snow baby. I also couldn't pass up the precious moments little girl hugging a lamb with words that read "Jesus loves me" on it to sit on her shelf all year. There were times when i felt like I couldn't keep the decorations up and I'm to the point now where I just want to take them down.

We didn't do anything extravagant for Laken's birthday/Christmas. Dave and I stayed home and when the clock turned over to 2112 (9:12pm) we lit her candle that my friend Sara got for us back in January after she died. We stood and watched it burn while we held each other and cried. The candle was burned for a short 10 minutes - a minute for each day she was alive- for a short life that will forever be what changed our lives.

A little lamb has brought so much joy and short life left us with sorrow but hope for the future.

Mommy and Daddy Love you Laken.
